APPLIANCE RECYCLING
We accept all kinds of appliances for recycling.
Freon-containing appliances are charged $30 for small and $40 for large.
Appliances without freon are $20 for small and $30 for large.
Why should I recycle my appliance?
Appliances are banned from disposal in WI's landfills, and must be recycled responsibly. The list of appliances includes; stoves, ovens, dishwashers, microwave ovens, water heaters, furnaces or boilers, refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, dehumidifiers, and water coolers. The items underlined here, contain freon. This material will be removed by a licensed and professional recycler.
Refrigerators built before 1993 can use two to three times more energy than newer, high-efficiency models. To find out how much your old refrigerator or freezer may be costing, visit the Refrigerator Retirement Savings Calculator.
Is your appliance in working condition?
Gently used appliances may be donated to Habitat for Humanity's Recycled Building Materials Facility. Learn more about how to donate here.
